The Ministry of Local Government (‘Ministry’) organised a two day capacity building workshop on the Human Resources and Finance Manual for the Municipal Councils. The workshop was held to strengthen the Municipal Councils to assist in providing efficient and appropriate services to the ratepayers and clients of the Councils.

The two Manuals are essential documents that will ensure smooth operations of the Municipal Councils. These will guide the Teams of Special Administrators and Chief Executive Officers of the Councils to rectify the flaws in the systems and processes of the said Councils.

The Ministry will conduct refresher trainings to ensure that the policies are aptly implemented for proper service delivery by the Councils.
